Wanderlust Privacy Policy

Effective: August 19, 2026

Wanderlust helps you create personal and group travel ideas. This policy explains what information the app processes and why.

Analytics

We use Amplitude’s European data region to understand product usage, reliability, and retention. Events include app and screen activity, feature outcomes, a pseudonymous device identifier, and bounded structured preference categories and counts. We do not send destinations, profile names, group or member names, invite or share codes, notes, feedback text, generated trip content, URLs, IP-derived location, carrier data, or Apple’s IDFV. We do not set an analytics user account identifier and do not use analytics for cross-company tracking or advertising.

Crash diagnostics

We use Sentry to receive technical crash and reliability diagnostics such as the app version, operating-system and device model, crash stack trace, and app-hang timing. We disable screenshots, view-hierarchy attachments, performance tracing, and default personally identifiable information. Diagnostics are used only to find and fix reliability problems.

Trip planning services

Before using AI trip planning, the app asks for permission to send the details and preferences needed to create or refine a solo or group trip to OpenAI. OpenAI request storage is disabled. Destination text is sent to Unsplash to find a relevant image. These providers process data under their own terms.

Group and shared trips

Group-trip and shared-trip information is stored using Convex so members can join, contribute preferences, and receive a generated result. This can include group and member names, destinations, structured preferences, trip results, and capability-based invite or share data.

Feedback

If you submit feedback, its content and a locally generated device identifier are sent through Google Apps Script so we can review and respond to product issues. Feedback is optional.

Storage and deletion

Saved personal trips and Traveller DNA profiles are stored on your device. Removing them in the app deletes those local copies. To request deletion of server-side group, shared-trip, feedback, or analytics data, email contact@new-arc-studio.com. Include enough context for us to locate the data, but never email an account password.

Your choices

Wanderlust does not display advertising, sell personal information, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites. Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission is therefore not requested.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the app changes. The effective date above identifies the current version. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to contact@new-arc-studio.com.
